Jamie Lee Curtis is a celebrated American actress, author, and philanthropist, born on November 22, 1958, in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of legendary actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, which placed her in the spotlight from an early age.

Curtis gained widespread recognition and became an iconic figure in the horror genre with her breakout role as Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's classic film "Halloween" (1978).
