Michelle Basili comes to SME all the way from the Windy City, having been born and raised in Chicago, IL. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from DePaul University in Chicago. After moving to California, Michelle began her career working for Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in the music department working closely with many of the industry’s top acts including Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Bon Jovi, Lionel Richie, John Fogerty, Earth, Wind & Fire, John Mayer, Glenn Frey, Matchbox Twenty, Santana, Shakira, Kiss, Kelly Clarkson, Harry Connick Jr. and Dana Carvey. While at CAA, she assumed multiple responsibilities, including booking special events, contract negotiation, and event logistics. In 2010, Michelle joined the SME team. Since then, she has cultivated a large clientele in the restaurant industry, which has made her SME’s resident celebrity chef expert. In addition to the chefs, Michelle can also assist with speakers on any topic and celebrities for an appearance at your event. Michelle prides herself on the personalized service she offers her clients. Michelle’s character and ability to remain calm under pressure have made her a favorite among SME’s corporate clientele. She works diligently with the SME team to build solid, long-term client partnerships. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to Italy and spending time with her family.
