Bio
Maria is a graduate from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a B.A. in Russian Studies Language and Literature. She is a California native with roots in Los Angeles and San Francisco- truly the best of both worlds! She has experience working in the events industry since July of 2010 as a Coordinator for the Amanda Foundation, a non-profit animal rescue organization and animal hospital. As a member of SME Entertainment Group, she assists President Corey Shapoff with his day-to-day activities gaining experience in handling all aspects involved in securing the ideal entertainer, keynote speaker, or sports personality – from negotiating the best possible price for clients to coordinating, advancing, and flawlessly executing each event. Additionally, Maria leads marketing efforts including running SME’s social media outreach, marketing campaigns, and maintenance of the website. Her friendly attitude and commitment to exceptional customer relations makes her a resourceful and tenacious member of the SME team.
Why I love what I do
I love the travel, creativity, and being the point person at high-level events, as well as the constant learning and challenges that come with. I have the opportunity to meet and work with very interesting people, and work with my co-workers to be a part of such an awesome team!
